Key People

Daryl has been involved in various aspects of the financial services industry in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Europe since the 1970’s having obtained his initial Finance Broking licence in 1978.

Throughout the 80’s and 90’s Daryl headed the largest independently owned financial services distribution company in Australia where he was credited with having paved the way for truly independent financial advice for the Australian consumer as we know it today.

In line with this philosophy of choice Daryl then founded BOSS Software International which successfully developed comparator software for use by financial advisers both here and overseas in assisting their clients with appropriate product choice relative to their needs.

Later on Daryl became a founding shareholder and Director of Distribution of Australian Seniors Finance, a company which pioneered the development of the Reverse Mortgage concept both in Australia and throughout Europe.
This understanding and empathy towards managing the financial needs of the Australian consumer is still reflected today in the way Commercial One delivers its services and product offerings.

 

 

Jeremy became involved in the finance sector in 2002 and since that time has gained a comprehensive knowledge of the many facets of lending.

The initial 8 years were spent with one of Australia’s most progressive Banks where his focus was always dedicated to the “customer” and building strong relationships through catering for the needs of the people he valued so much.

This philosophy continued when Jeremy was appointed as a Relationship Manager with one of Australia’sforemost vehicle leasing specialist companies catering for the needs of some of the country’s largest fleet vehicle organizations.

With Commercial One experiencing continual growth Jeremy seized on an opportunity to become a part of that journey accepting a position as Senior Finance Manager where he would be able to offer a more diversified range of product and services to a wider more sophisticated market.

 

 

Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Ian's careeer path commenced with an established middle tier firm of Chartered Accountants in Melbourne, ultimately being invited to join the Partnership in 1976. His role included responsibility for a wide array of clients including sporting clubs and one of the major Victorian racing Clubs.

In 1984, Ian decided to base his professional career on the Mornington Peninsula to specifically specialise in the development of SME's. A major portion of his work included the structuring of Financial Services Networks as this sector moved towards the delivery of independant advice.

 

 

Ian graduated and gained his accounting skills in the commercial sector as a Financial and Management Accountant with BHP Steel. In 1987 Ian decided to move into public practice and gained employment with ROCG Blackford Davey Stevens based in Mornington, Victoria.

Since joining that firm, as well as attending to the normal compliance requirements of his clients, Ian's specialist role has been to assist the Practice's major clients develop and grow their businesses. In the course of advising these clients, Ian had gained extensive experience in structuring finance proposals for submission to prospective lenders.
